In this webinar, we will discuss how and why to design SQL that will reduce the number of times calls are made to DB2 on z/OS. We look at how to write SMART (SQL Made to Accurately Reflect Transactions) SQL rather than writing applications that act like generic I/O modules to DB2. We will discuss how to tune this SMART SQL to execute efficiently and further reduce CPU usage. We will discuss how to utilize SQL and application features in DB2 9 to help with these efforts. Susan Lawson and Dan Luksetich are internationally recognized DB2 consultants who specialize in DB2 performance and availability.
